Project description
TEACH-R is an innovative teaching project in the field of autonomics, an emerging cross-sectional discipline that holistically combines technical, social, legal and economic aspects of autonomous systems. The aim of the project is to develop new courses in computer science and robotics that enable students to acquire comprehensive interdisciplinary skills. As part of TEACH-R, students are actively involved in the lectures and instructed in the use of complex, self-adaptive robotic systems. Accompanying practice-oriented exercise units with autonomous robots convey a deep understanding of the course content and promote the ability to systematically solve complex problems in a comprehensive context. The teaching concept aims not only to impart technical knowledge, but also to create an awareness of the social opportunities and risks of autonomous systems. By combining theory and practical application, students develop action-relevant skills and a holistic understanding of autonomous systems. The project builds on the experience gained in the lecture "Off-road Robotics".
